Hide and Seek Box | Stage 1
Help your infant develop their concentration and their understanding that objects exist even if they can not see them - just like in a game of peek-a-boo!
As soon as your infant can sit unassisted, you can introduce them to the first of our Hide and Seek boxes.
Made from natural wood, your infant will enjoy dropping the red ball through the hole and finding it reappear through the red trap door, time and time again.
Repeating this motion will teach them that although the ball disappears, it is still there, and will likely to return, which is known as object permanence. This skill is important as they learn so they know that you will appear, when you have left the room too!
The perfectly sized ball will also encourage their pincer grip, and as it has a direct reward of the ball returning, will increase their intrinsic motivation to repeat the activity again and again, developing their concentration.
